Funded Project - Candidate diagnostics and therapeutic molecules for the detection and prevention of Candida infections
Project Outline – Our group is focussing on innovative immunotherapeutics and immunodiagnostic approaches towards invasive Candidiasis. The form of therpaeutics and diagnostic molecules we intent to develop are engineered monoclonal antibodies capable to specifically recognize Candida albicans cell surface and also very important secreted infection markers of invasive Candidiasis. The diagnostic and therapeutic potential of these engineered monoclonal antibodies will be studied in animal models of systemic Candidiasis.
